MLB blatantly breaks anti-trust regulations

The sports leagues social and legal contracts with America requires that teams be allowed to autonomously operate. But Major League Baseball blatantly breaks that standard. Somehow that standard does not apply when it comes to matters like allowing teams to set their own post season ticket rates.

As an Angels season ticket holder, I complained to the Angels when they switched their resale service from Ticketmaster to Stubhub and I consequently was required to pay larger fees and commissions. They told me that they had no control of it. Major League Baseball mandated that all teams used Stubhub. That is illegal and egregious.

The latest illegal action from MLB that has been exposed is that they mandate who throws out first pitches. We found this out when it was leaked that Dirk Nowitzky was initially turned down to throw out the first pitch of Game 3 of the World Series.

MLB has reversed its decision and Dirk will throw out the first pitch after all. But that is not the issue. MLB should not be making that decision in the first place. The Texas Rangers should have relatively full control of their own activities. We needn't accept MLB blatantly spitting on The Constitution of the United States Of America.

Gentleman!
